G.R.A.C.E. -God's Riches At Christ's Expense
Do you know God created us to have a relationship with Him? But our sinful nature separates us from God. Bible says “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
In the book of Romans, chapter 6, verse 23, it says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.” The penalty for our sin is death. Since, God is Holy and just he can’t overlook sin. At the same time, God is loving and merciful. So, He made a provision for mankind to be saved from their sin. In Gospel of John, chapter 3 verse 16, it says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life".
To have everlasting life- life after death- to live forever in heaven, we have to be free of sin. But we couldn't be sin free on our own because none of us are perfect to do enough good works to please God. According to the Bible, you don’t have to earn your way into his favor. God loves you unconditionally regardless of who you are and what you have done. God loves you and wants to save you from sin, to offer you a new life of hope. John 10:10 says, "I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance." "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. Yes, Jesus paid for our sins. Jesus Christ died on the cross of calvary for our sins. He rose from the grave on the third day and living in heaven, waiting for you and I.
The only response that is required from you is to believe that Jesus is God and he died for your sins, rose again on the 3rd days as we read in Bible, admit that you are a sinner, repent and confess your sins, accept God’s forgiveness through his son Jesus, and to turn away from your sin.
John 1:12-13 says, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God".
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved”.
If you accept Jesus as your savior, your heart will be changed. God puts new desires into our hearts when we respond to His call. You will feel the love of God and peace in your heart. You will spend your eternity with God after your death. John 11:25-26 says,“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.
A prayer of salvation:
Father God, I know I am a sinner by birth and with my actions. I believe that Jesus died and paid the price for my sins and He rose again on the third day. I am placing my trust in Jesus and asking for forgiveness. I want to be made new. I want to please you and follow you from this day on. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray.
